Appointments at Peartree Surgery

Peartree Group Practice takes great care in ensuring equitable access for all patients.

Each weekday between 7:30am and 5pm we operate an online booking system for appointments*.  If you would like to request an appointment you simply complete the short online e-consultation form via our website or your NHS App.

Please ensure when completing the online request that you provide as much detail as possible. This ensures our clinicians can triage and assess your request appropriately.  Important details include duration of symptoms, whether your concern is new or ongoing and if you have seen a particular clinician about your concern recently.

We appreciate that some patients may have difficulty completing the online form or accessing the internet and, in that instance, our admin team will be happy to complete the form on their behalf.

*Please note that if you require an appointment with one of our treatment room nurses, you will need to contact us by phone, 01707 329292 after 10am and our admin team will be happy to book this for you.

Extended hours, evening and weekend appointments

Peartree Group Practice offers out of hours appointments Monday to Friday from 6:30pm to 8pm as well as Saturdays and Sundays.

These appointments will take place at either Peartree Lane Surgery or Spring House Surgery (Ascots Lane) and are requested by visiting our contact us page.

If you need help with your appointment

Please tell us:

  • If there is a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond
  • If you need an interpreter or are hard of hearing
  • If you have any other access or communication needs

Home visits

If you are unable to visit the surgery and need a home visit, please phone us on 01707 329292 before 10:30am to request a visit. A GP will then call you back to discuss how they will be able to help you.

For new, urgent or straightforward problems, we sometimes arrange a visit from a GP colleague from HUC (part of Herts Urgent Care). In these instances, we will always let you know.

For more complex problems, where we feel it would be beneficial for you to see a GP who has a good knowledge of your medical history, we will ensure that one of our own GPs from the practice comes out to visit you.

Information:

Please bear in mind that home visits are for housebound patients only and for those who are genuinely too ill to travel the short distance to the surgery. We appreciate you making a concerted effort to attend the surgery where possible and thank you for doing so.
