Who are we?
PatientVoices is the Patient Participation Group (PPG) for Peartree Group Practice, comprising Peartree and Moors Walk surgeries. It is run by patients and is a contractual requirement of the Practice.
As a registered patient of the Practice, we hope you might be interested in joining PatientVoices whose main aim is to work with the Practice and offer patients’ views on the services provided. You can play an active role, or you can simply receive regular updates from us about the Practice, our activities and healthcare in general.
What do we do?
We have monthly meetings usually on the second Thursday of each month at Peartree Lane surgery. Members of the Practice also attend and we discuss how the Practice is being run, giving patient input. We also discuss activities we are involved in, such as the patient survey, website updates and local community health talks. These meetings are relaxed and friendly, but aim to be focused and finish within 90 minutes.
We also publish the following information regularly by e-mail:
- Meeting agendas and minutes
- Information from various parts of the NHS
- Feedback from other NHS committees and meetings which we attend
- Selected health-related items from relevant local and national organisations
Membership
You can join us and play an active role, which includes regularly attending our meetings and working with the committee and the Practice to reflect patients’ views and concerns. Alternatively you can simply join our mailing list and receive the information described above and you can still give us any input you may have, or attend our meetings on an ad-hoc basis, should you wish to.
We recognise that some people may wish to take a more active role but cannot attend our monthly meetings which are during the working day. If this applies to you, please do get in touch and we can look at how you could still be involved with our activities.

Privacy information
We are committed to protecting your privacy. We only require limited personal information from you which will be handled by us in accordance with the UK Data Protection Act 2018 and UK GDPR. We do not have access to any patient data held by the Practice, nor do we share your contact details with anyone outside the Practice.
We do not discuss individual complaints and issues, unless they are an example of what we believe is a general patient concern. There is a formal complaints procedure in place and this should be used to raise any personal concerns. It can be accessed from the feedback and complaints page
